CHEMISE MURAL OPENING

We warmly invite you to the official unveiling of a new large-scale mural by street artist Chemis, created on the building of the Serius bookshop in the very centre of Jablonec nad Nisou.

The artist behind the work is Dmitrij Proškin, alias Chemis, one of the most distinctive contemporary street artists in the Czech Republic. His work is renowned not only for its distinctive artistic style, but also for its ability to address social issues and connect art with public space. This is also his first mural created in the Liberec Region.

The mural was created as part of the international STAR 2.0 project, which focuses on social inclusion, engaging young people in city life and building relationships between different groups of residents. The themes of the work are social bubbles, mutual alienation and the search for what unites us despite our differences.

The creation of the mural would not have been possible without the cooperation of the owners of the Serius Bookshop building. Special thanks go to Vladimír Opatrný, who has long supported the revitalisation of public spaces and helped transform this striking wall into a new cultural landmark on the city’s map.
