Jablonec nad Nisou International Folklore Festival

Come and see a rich showcase of folk cultural heritage.

During the 12th edition of the festival, taking place at the Eurocentrum Summer Stage from Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 June 2026, you will see a diverse range of folk ensembles from the Czech Republic and abroad. The programme will feature traditional dances, songs and musical styles that will delight audiences of all ages.

In addition to the folklore performances, refreshments will be available for festival visitors. There will also be stalls selling handicrafts and workshops where both children and adults can try their hand at traditional techniques. Market

Shop at the festival market for original and traditional handmade products made from local materials, directly from master craftsmen. Regional treasures await you, mainly from the Czech Republic, but also from Slovakia and Poland. At the stalls you’ll find pottery, the award-winning Babiččiny syrups, pralines, knitted accessories, designer jewellery, soaps from Ráj, woodcarvings and leather goods, honey treats, linen and lavender products, angels and much more. Refreshments will be available. You’ll also be able to watch weavers, woodcarvers and spinners at work.

Workshops

As part of the Jablonec festival, creative workshops on traditional crafts await you, for both children and adults. You’ll be able to try your hand at washing and bleaching nappies on a washboard, knitting fishing nets, decorating fragrant gingerbread biscuits, or throwing your own bowls on a potter’s wheel. And at the potato pancake stand, you’ll even prepare traditional potato pancakes from scratch and bake them on a griddle. Come and experience history with all your senses and take home new skills and your own handmade products.

In the event of bad weather (or a forecast of it), events scheduled for the Summer Stage will take place in the adjacent Eurocentrum Grand Hall, and the fair and markets will be moved to the Eurocentrum foyer.
