Description of the event
An open day combined with a presentation of interesting archival materials relating to regional anniversaries, this year marking the sixth.
All-day tours of the archive complex, featuring commentary on the institution’s past and present, will be complemented by guided tours of documents relating to the successful Jablonec mayor Adolf Heinrich Posselt (1844–1926), the major Jablonec tram accident (1931), the completion of the new Železný Brod savings bank building and the visit of Czechoslovak President Edvard Beneš to our region (both in 1936), as well as the establishment of the well-known LIAZ lorry manufacturing company (1951).
Visitors will see a variety of archival materials, chronicles, photographs, maps, badges, old newspapers and other printed matter.
