Vernissage of the exhibition Lhotský - Róna

Joint exhibition of Zdeněk Lhotský and Jaroslav Róna at the Nisa Factory Gallery, where their common denominator is the geometric sign and organic form.

Zdeněk Lhotský presents digital graphics as a result and a shift in his thoughts on order and decor. The composition and reproduction of basic geometric shapes can be perceived at two levels in the exhibition. At the beginning of each of the works is the simplest possible form of a line, a sign. This can be deformed, supplemented and modified and brought to a gigantic scale. The second subset is quantity and uniqueness. The use of modern technologies allows for the transfer of an inexhaustible number of variants of one motif into the real world. The result is symbols that do not repeat themselves. Their basis of ornamental and geometric decor may seem contrasting, but the result is a multilayered compact work.

The works by Jaroslav Róna selected for the exhibition reflect a similar approach. However, the basic organic shape is transferred into space. It can be perceived as a whole or as individual parts. Variously deformed and interconnected lines are based on the study of nature, which is the order of this world. In Rón's presentation, it is a contrast of monumental form and minute detail, which is part of the surface structure. The presentation of the works in glass and bronze, together with their unique color, brings a unique aesthetic experience.
