This year, for the fourteenth time, the Magdaléna Dance and Movement Studio will present a full-length Christmas programme. The project successfully combines Czech classical music, poetry, creative children’s dance and visual art.

‘Silent Night, Holy Night’ follows on from previous years’ projects : ‘20th-Century Czech Classical Music in the Context of Stage Dance and Movement Theatre’, ‘Folk Songs as Inspiration for Contemporary Dance Art’, ‘The Marian Cult in the Czech Artistic Scene – Stories about Marys’, ‘Journey to Bethlehem ’ and last year’s highly successful project ‘From St Nicholas to the Three Kings’. These projects have received long-term support from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, with funding provided by the State Fund of the Czech Republic under its programme ‘Support for High-Quality Amateur Artistic Activities’ and by the Statutory City of Jablonec nad Nisou.
