U3V: FIGURES IN 20TH-CENTURY CZECH MODERN ARCHITECTURE

The course will focus on key figures in Czech modern architecture and their contribution to the transformation of building culture in the Czech Republic. It will present the work of architects who responded to new materials, functional requirements and social changes in the first half of the 20th century. The individual lectures will offer an accessible insight into their most significant projects, views and working methods. The series will provide a basic introduction to Czech modern architecture and help participants to better recognise its traces in the environment that still surrounds us today. Course fee: 400 CZK.
