A TRIBUTE TO KAREL GOTT AND THE TREASURES OF CZECH SONG

The City of Jablonec nad Nisou cordially invites you to a festive musical afternoon held to mark the Day Against Violence Against the Elderly. Come and join us in remembering the unforgettable melodies that have accompanied our lives for decades and brought us joy.

The main guest of the programme is the energetic groupTHE PEOPLE. This ensemble of top-class musicians and graduates of Brno’s JAMU will breathe new life into the greatest hits of the ‘divine’Karel Gott. You can also look forward to other gems of Czech popular music from the repertoires of Waldemar Matuška, Hana Hegerová, Marie Rottrová and Věra Špinarová.

The band’s rich sound, underscored by a distinctive brass section, promises an unforgettable cultural experience.

The evening will begin with a tribute to those who devote their care and kindness to others – we will be holding a ceremony to announce the best carers in Jablonec for 2026.

Tickets are free (not only) for senior citizens. They can be collected from the theatre box office from 25 May 2026. (Capacity is limited by the section reserved for the organisers’ guests).
