Internal self-defence course – stability in times of overload

Internal self-defence course – stability in times of overload

Description of the event

Internal self-defence course – stability in times ofoverload We live in a time of high demands, information overload and permanent availability. How can we maintain calm, energy and a healthy distance? In this interactive evening seminar, we will look at how the brain works under stress, why we become exhausted and what we can do about it. You will learn the basics of mental hygiene for everyday life, understand the role of "happiness hormones" and try out practical techniques - breathing exercises, relaxation, mindfulness and the principles of active listening. The course is intended for the general public and combines understandable theory with specific tools that you can start using the very next day. You will gain greater stability, awareness, and simple steps for taking care of your own mental well-being. What do participants need to bring with them?

  • Comfortable clothing (we will be working with breathing and short relaxation exercises).
  • A notebook and pencil for your own notes and reflection.
  • Openness to try new techniques and a desire to devote 2.5 hours to yourself.

Organisational information

  • The course is suitable for the general public and no previous experience is necessary.
  • The practical part takes place sitting on chairs or lying down (optional).
  • The course includes basic refreshments (tea, water) and there will be two breaks during which you can enjoy refreshments at a local café.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Štěpán Pastula – guide to inner and outer landscapes

What if the greatest journey you could take was not thousands of kilometres away, but inside you? Štěpán Pastula combines coaching, travel and mindfulness into lively, experiential programmes that help people slow down, take a breath and rediscover their own direction. He believes that the answers we seek are already within us. We just need to allow ourselves to hear them. In collaboration with UNICEF and the National Pedagogical Institute, he has created and implemented programmes such asBurnout Syndrome Prevention(PSV),Inner Self-Defence Course(KVS) andMindfulness for Schools, where he helps people work with stress, emotions and the pressure of everyday performance. He is developing his own methodological framework, TRC (Travel & Resilience Coaching), which combines experience, bodywork and conscious reflection into a holistic process of personal growth. His work is based on an integrative coaching approach that combines systemic thinking, solution-focused work and mindfulness, and is grounded in professional coaching training. His approach is practical, understandable and free of unnecessary theory, focusing on what you can start doing differently tomorrow. It is based on his own long-term practice in the areas of personal development, stress management, resilience and conscious attention work, both in individual coaching and in leading group programmes and development paths.
