L. Brož: On an electric bike from Mělník to Nordkapp

Lubomír Brož set off from Mělník along the banks of the Elbe and rode all the way to Nordkapp – the northernmost point of Europe. On his electric bike, with a backpack, determination and a desire to explore. It was more than just a challenge. It was a journey full of obstacles, unexpected encounters, Nordic nature and European cities. And also a journey to himself. He experienced all this at the age of 65. Dreams have no age limits. Very few people venture out on such long-distance routes on an electric bike, mainly due to concerns about charging and energy availability. Nevertheless, Lubomír Brož managed to complete the journey and is officially listed in the Czech Book of Records as the first Czech to reach Nordkapp on an electric bike.

Lubomír Brož published an e-book about the journey on 1 September 2025. Its 165 pages contain stories, photographs and practical tips from the journey.
