Description of the event

Screening of a documentary film as part of the KineDok project, followed by a discussion among viewers.

Amber is one of 75 workers who took part in a mission to measure gross national happiness in Bhutan, travelling across the country to meet people from all walks of life. Together with her partner, she conducts a survey among them, asking more than a hundred questions in nine categories. Director Dorottya Zurbó shows the vast beauty of the Bhutanese landscape alongside the everyday reality of the country's diverse population. Meanwhile, Amber embarks on her own personal journey in search of happiness, specifically by looking for a husband in the little free time she has while juggling work and caring for her mother. We leave it to the audience to ponder the difficulty of distilling happiness into a single coherent form.
