The International Glass Symposium IGS has been organized by the city and the Nový Bor Glass Museum as a triennial since 1982. Every three years, the city is filled with glassmakers, curators, collectors, glass lovers and the general public. Artists from all over the world collaborate with local craftsmen and over the course of four days create works in a unique creative atmosphere, which are then presented as evidence of collaboration, technological skill and artistic invention.

45 artists or creative pairs from 17 countries and 5 continents participated in IGS 2024. The preparatory team put together a multi-layered, unique group in terms of age, gender, place of origin and techniques used, where individual participants must be able to collaborate with a foundry or workshop that will give them space and help them realize their artistic design.
