Guided tour of the exhibition Balance 2024

The exhibition Balance Sheet 2024 wants to convincingly demonstrate that this region with a rich historical tradition has a constant inventive potential for the active development of glass art not only in our present, but also in the near future. Among the exhibits on display are also selected graduation theses from the Železná Brod Glass School and selected final bachelor's and master's theses in the field of glass from students from the Jablonec detached workplace of the Department of Design of the Technical University of Liberec. The confrontation of the works of emerging artists with the work of significant and world-renowned personalities from the local region will undoubtedly offer a great opportunity for refining generational views on designer glass. As stated by the author and curator Oldřich Palata, "the exhibition has a common and unifying condition for all exhibitors - the exhibited works must come from 2024. This is a significant motivation for the creation and realization of completely new works in the field of the author's distinct concept of glass art."
