Description of the place
Univerzitní Galerie N v Jablonci nad Nisou slouží k výstavní a prezentační činnosti Technické univerzity. Program je tvořen tak, aby byl poutavý pro laickou i odbornou veřejnost. Představuje práce mladých, kreativních studentů Katedry designu, ale i dalších odborných vysokých škol z České republiky nebo zahraničí. Dále se zde představují umělci z široké škály výtvarných směrů od nás i ze zahraničí. Vítáme všechny návštěvníky.
Budova, ve které dnes sídlí Galerie N, dříve patřila k Městskému divadlu. Projekt na pomocnou budovu divadla byl zpracován v roce 1909. Sloužila jako kulisárna, baletní sál a další zázemí herců. V roce 2002 se objekt zrekonstruoval a od té doby slouží jako univerzitní galerie TUL.
