Lighting of the Christmas tree in Jablonec nad Nisou

➧ PROGRAMME AT MÍROVÉ NÁMĚSTÍ 5 p.m. Christmas tree lighting: Performance by the Iuventus, gaude! choir, supported by SPS Janáček in the final part. The Art of Lights Christmas light show, combining modern lighting effects and traditional Czech black theatre, will be presented by the Ilusias women's ensemble. The tree lighting will be counted down together with children by Ing. Miloš Vele, Mayor of Jablonec nad Nisou. The Jablonec ecumenical community will be represented by Mgr. Scheybal House / MY City Gallery 14:00–16:30 Nativity scene from the Jizera Mountains: Christmas exhibition of nativity scenes, Christmas cards and illustrations by artist Pavel Pecina 14:00 Opening of the exhibition to the public, children's programme 15:30 Christmas carols performed by members of the Nisanka folk ensemble 16:00 Grand opening of the exhibition and christening of the new nativity scene. Nativity scene from Opportunity to purchase Christmas goods. The exhibition was prepared by the MY Municipal Gallery. 14:00–16:30 Creative Christmas workshop in the attic of the Scheybal House, following on from the exhibition Nativity Scene from the Jizera Mountains. Making a paper nativity scene based on illustrations by artist Pavel Pecina. Eurocentrum 2:00–5:00 p.m. Advent with Vikýř: Workshops for making small gifts and Christmas decorations, a mini Christmas market from sheltered workshops, and carols. Workshops cost CZK 20–100.
