Start of Advent at the Scheybal House

During the traditional festive afternoon, an exhibition of Christmas and New Year’s cards, nativity scenes and Advent decorations , entitled ‘Christmas Greetings from Jablonec nad Nisou’, will be launched . This marks the sixth instalment in the exhibition series ‘Christmas with Czech Painters’. Singers and musicians from the Nisanka folk ensemble will provide a festive mood and atmosphere; they will perform at 3.30 pm at the MY Municipal Gallery on the first floor of the building. A creative workshop for young and old alike, themed around the exhibition, will be held in the attic. At 2.30 pm in St Anne’s Church, the first Advent candle will be lit to the sound of Advent songs performed by the vocal-instrumental ensemble Fragium 16. The tourist information centre on the ground floor of the building will be open throughout the event.

Organised by the MY Municipal Gallery in collaboration with Kultura Jablonec.
