The Doctor on a trip

One in four people will experience some form of mental health condition during their lifetime. Depression, anxiety and other mental health issues are not merely individual problems – they reflect the stressful and rapidly changing pace of modern society. Tibor, Richard and Lucie have been struggling with depression for many years. Their journey has been fraught with frustration and despair. Like thousands of other patients, traditional antidepressants brought them no relief. Just when it seemed there was no hope of change, a new ray of hope emerged: groundbreaking research led by Dr Tomáš Páleníček and an international team of scientists.Their goal is ambitious: to discover whether psychedelic substances can bring about real change in the lives of people with depression and open the door to new alternative treatment methods. They set out to verify the laboratory results in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. The experiences of the indigenous people there could represent a major breakthrough in their research.
