Family Sports Afternoon – Handball and the Fire Brigade in Action

Are you looking for the ideal sport for your child and want to spend an active Friday afternoon with them in the fresh air? Join us as part of the nationwide #BeActive challenge. Handball Jablonec, in collaboration with the local volunteer fire brigade, is organising a fun-filled afternoon at the Jablonecké Paseky outdoor sports ground for boys and girls aged 6 and over and their parents. You and your child will form a pair and, using a special activity card, work your way together through a series of action-packed outdoor stations: You’ll measure the speed of your throw on a professional handball radar. You’ll test your aim on a shooting target and your agility on an obstacle course. With the fire brigade, you’ll try your hand at a real water attack using a bucket brigade and get a close-up look at firefighting equipment. Every young athlete will receive a commemorative certificate for completing the tasks. The whole event, including the facilities, takes place outdoors right next to the playing field. There’ll be an outdoor refreshment stand, where you’ll find snacks, draught lemonade and chilled beer for the dads to top up your energy levels. You don’t need any previous experience of handball. Just bring some comfortable sportswear, outdoor trainers and come along to Paseky!
