The Dalai Lama's cat

Actress Ivana Jirešová brings a new play, The Dalai Lama’s Cat, to the stage. The production was adapted for the stage and directed by Jakub Zindulka, based on David Michie’s international bestseller, which has won the hearts of millions of readers worldwide. You can look forward to one actress, one voice and one perspective from the eyes of a cat that sees more than we might expect.

You will see a story about the search for balance, happiness and peace in everyday life, told from a surprising perspective – through the eyes of His Holiness’s cat. The main character moves between the street and the temple, between love and loss, between a bowl of milk and a recipe for happiness.

The performance, which takes place on Tuesday 17 November at 7 pm in the Grand Hall of the Eurocentrum Jablonec, offers humour, compassion, the little dramas of everyday life, and perhaps even an answer to why it sometimes pays to remain calm.

Ivana Jirešová, who has long been interested in spirituality, yoga and a mindful lifestyle, has transformed this inspiring material into a theatrical production with sensitivity, humour and depth.

The performance lasts 70 minutes without an interval.
