Description of the event
We invite you to the opening performance of the International Folklore Festival, which will take place on Thursday 18 June from 6 pm at the Eurocentrum Summer Stage. You will be treated to a performance by the Slovak dance troupe Čarovné ostrohy, regarded as a pioneer of modern folklore and a representative of non-traditional Slovak folklore both at home and abroad.
They are bringing their most sought-after, energetic show to Jablonec, in which, accompanied by a live rock band, they blend well-known folk songs with global pop music. Together with aerial acrobats and breakdancers, they will present unique choreography that bridges the gap between tradition and modern stage performance.
The event is part ofthe International Folklore Festivaland takes place as part of the 12th edition of theJablonecké tónyfestival.
Free admission
The event is organised by Kultura Jablonec, p.o., with the support of the statutory city of Jablonec nad Nisou. The media partners for the event are Český rozhlas Liberec and iLIBERECKO.
In the event of severe bad weather (or a forecast thereof),the eventwilltakeplacein the adjacent Eurocentrum Grand Hall.
