Jiří Bárta & jazz trio: Bach versus Bolling

Do you enjoy it when world-class art meets a relaxed summer atmosphere? Then mark Wednesday 19 August in your calendar. Mírové náměstí in Jablonec nad Nisou will welcome a true world-class artist – cello virtuoso Jiří Bárta, accompanied by a jazz trio (keyboards, double bass and drums).

Jiří Bárta is not just ‘any old’ musician. He is a performer known in London, Berlin and Tokyo. A man who infuses the cello with a soul and energy you won’t hear from anyone else. This time, he has prepared a unique programme for Jablonec: ‘Bach versus Bolling’. You can look forward to a fascinating clash between the austere Baroque master Bach and the playful, jazz-infused Claude Bolling.

Forget stuffy concert halls. Masterful tones will carry out in the open air. You can settle down on the town hall steps, listen whilst enjoying a drink in the restaurant gardens, or let yourself be swept away by the music right next to the instruments.

That intimacy and the genius loci of Jablonec’s square will turn classical music into an experience you’ll never forget.

In the event of bad weather (or a forecast of it), the event will take place in the Grand Hall of the Eurocentrum (Jiráskova 4898/9, Jablonec nad Nisou).

The event is part of the 12th edition of the Jablonecké tóny festival.
