The Conscious Universe: Where Physics and Spirituality Meet

For decades, modern physics has been providing insights into the nature of reality that surprisingly coincide with experiences known from religious philosophies, mysticism and alchemy. What has been expressed for centuries in the symbolic language of inner experience is now being rediscovered through equations, experiments and models of reality. The rapid development of artificial intelligence has provided a major impetus for this convergence. AI is becoming a mirror in which we are beginning to question the very nature of consciousness, observation and reality. Do we live in an objective, material world where we are merely random observers of independent reality? Or are we active participants – or even architects – of a reality resembling a computer simulation or game? The lecture opens up profound ontological questions of being at the intersection of physics, consciousness and spirituality. It offers a view of reality as a living, interconnected whole in which the boundaries between observer and observed, matter and consciousness, dissolve.
