Description of the event

The biggest festival of the Jablonec Cultural Summer will bring the town centre to life for the fourth time, running from Friday 21 August to Saturday 22 August. This modern cultural festival combines the traditions of glassmaking and costume jewellery with gastronomy, music and colourful markets. It is dedicated to all the residents of Jablonec nad Nisou and the Liberec Region, as well as to tourists who have come to visit the capital of glass and costume jewellery. The name refers both to Jablonec’s glass and costume jewellery tradition (perle) and to interesting achievements in the fields of art, gastronomy and music (perly).

Jablonec’s Perle will take place for the second year under the patronage of the Czech National Commission for UNESCO, which was granted to the festival for raising awareness of glass and costume jewellery traditions and supporting the next generation of craftspeople in these sectors.

This year, we’ll be unveiling the latest addition to it, created from the voluntary admission tickets collected in previous years!

The event is organised by the statutory city of Jablonec nad Nisou through the organisation Kultura Jablonec p.o. and the State Museum of Glass and Costume Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou. Co-organisers are SUNDISK s.r.o. and the District Chamber of Commerce. Event partners are Rengl, s.r.o. and Tatrhy, z.s.
