Baroque Christmas

We invite you to a festive concert, Baroque Christmas, which will resound in St. Anne's Church on Saturday, 20 December, starting at 4 p.m. The musical experience will be provided by the Ad Libitum string quartet together with singers Jarmila Klokočníková and Hana Jodasová.

The programme will mainly feature pastorals and carols from the Baroque period by J. J. Ryba, A. Michna z Otradovic and V. Rovenský. You can also look forward to works by masters of world music – G. Verdi, P. Mascagni, A. Cmíral and A. Dvořák.

Come and get into the Christmas spirit. We look forward to seeing you at St. Anne's Church!

About the performers:The Ad Libitum String Quartet has been performing since 1997 and consists of teachers and former students of the Turnov Music School: Šárka Košťálová (1st violin), Jan Lochman (2nd violin), Vladimíra Vydrová (viola) and Martin Vyskočil (cello). The ensemble is known for its classical music concerts, but also performs at festivals, city celebrations and private events. Jarmila Klokočníková studied solo singing at the Faculty of Education in Ústí nad Labem. Today, she teaches classical singing at the Jablonec Music School and leads the preparatory department of the Iuventus Gaude choir. Hana Jodasová, a former student of Jarmila Klokočníková, has been involved in music since childhood and also performs occasionally with the Rychnov Trio.
