One/Spirit - exhibition by the IRDS glass studio.

Galerie N in Jablonec nad Nisou presents the exhibition jedno/duchoststudiaIRDS, which will run from 29 October to 28 November 2025 under the curatorial leadership of Radek Wohlmuth. The project connects the work of two prominent figures in contemporary glass art – Ingrid Račková and David Suchopárek – and presents glass as a material capable of conveying concentration, silence and space for inner experience.

"The word simplicity hides more than meets the eye. When we break it down into 'one' and 'spirit', a new meaning emerges – unity connected with inner intensity. And it is precisely this synthesis that is the key to the exhibition," says curator Radek Wohlmuth. "It's not about minimalism for minimalism's sake, but about searching for the essence – a form that embodies both calm and tension, precision and spirituality."

The exhibition presents a selection of works from the last two years – solitaires, gradually developed cycles and targeted visual interventions that activate space and change its perception. Both authors build their work on the foundations of a stripped-down form, which is not impersonal, but opens up space for emotions. Just as the slash in the exhibition title is not just a graphic element – it is a diagonal, a gesture of movement, intersection and tension that is reflected in the morphology of the exhibited works.

"Simplicity can conceal the greatest depth – precisely because it carries both unity and spirituality," concludes Radek Wohlmuth. "And perhaps it is thanks to this synthesis that space is created for true understanding, peace and inner balance."
