Description of the event

Screening of a documentary film as part of the KineDok project, followed by a discussion among viewers.

Johana has just celebrated her eighteenth birthday and is ready to go to university and start finding her place in the world. However, her path to independence is not easy. Her home life revolves largely around her younger sister Róza, who lives with atypical autism and mental disability. Johana is more than just a sister to Róza; she is her confidante, friend and carer. As the day of her departure approaches, her enthusiasm is replaced by feelings of guilt and responsibility. Will her parents manage without her? And more importantly, will Róza be all right without her closest soulmate? This intimate documentary about growing up is a tender portrait of sisterly love, self-sacrifice and the quiet power of emotions, not only towards others but also towards oneself.
