Description of the event

Everyone surely has bathing on their self-care list; it is a routine part of self-care. Immersing yourself in a warm, steamy bath is a popular way to relax after a long day.

The Gong Bath includes the Nabhi Purana technique, a healing procedure in which warm oil is poured into the navel. This technique nourishes the internal organs, aids digestion, harmonises the digestive fire, and is used to balance dryness in the body and calm the nervous system. In combination with the gong bath, this procedure is deeply healing.

This technique is optional at the gong bath; if you do not want it, you can just enjoy the bath.

Gong baths have a similar effect

Sound is vibrational energy that can be incredibly healing when combined with the right intention. It can help you relax and thus reduce stress levels. The sound of gongs and sound in general helps you relax your conscious mind and achieve alpha and theta brain waves, which promote a deeper relaxation process where healing occurs.

Gong baths are a type of passive meditation where you "bathe" in the healing vibrations of sound.

The use of sound as a form of healing dates back to ancient cultures. Records of the use of gongs have been found from ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman times.

Evidence suggests that gong making was known as early as 4000 BC, and ancient alchemy sources mention gongs as far back as 16,000 BC.

Gong baths are conducted either individually or in groups and usually last between 45 minutes and 2 hours.

During a gong bath, participants lie down and make themselves comfortable with blankets and pillows. The gong master then strikes the gong with a mallet. Participants are invited to passively absorb the benefits of the sound.

The effects of a gong bath:

- allow you to switch off your thoughts

- can reduce stress and heal the endocrine system

- heals the nervous system

- improves the body's immunity

- increases the body's energy

- excellent as a source of energy after illness, fatigue syndrome, burnout
