Description of the event

On Saturday, there will be a family creative workshop with the production and decoration of All Souls' Day lanterns, and on Sunday, visitors can watch Karel Sobotka at work, who blows glass figurines over a burner.

Discounted admission and special opening hours from 9 a.m. apply on both days.

The Crystal Valley Weekend is linked to the glassmakers' Day, organised by the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou on the occasion of the International Day for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (which has been held annually on 17 October since 2024) and as a reminder of the recent inclusion of handmade glass production on the UNESCO list. The event is held under the auspices of the Czech UNESCO Commission.
