Description of the event
An architect, sculptor and painter who began his career in Florence and was honoured with a position in the service of the Pope in Rome. Michelangelo marked the peak of the Renaissance, but during his nearly 90-year life, he also witnessed the collapse of its ideals. His name became synonymous with creative freedom and independence, tireless diligence and, above all, unrivalled talent.
