The automotive fascination of the 20th century

Come to the foyer of the Eurocentrum in Jablonec to see an exhibition of photographs by Petr Volf, a native of Jičín, documentary filmmaker, cameraman, director and photographer. The photographs of vintage cars will be on display from 1 October every weekday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The opening with the author will take place the day before, on 30 September at 5 p.m. You are cordially invited.

Petr Volf (born in 1940 in Jičín) is a graduate of FAMU (1964). In the 1960s, he worked at Krátký film Praha, where he shot unique footage of Prague in August 1968. Later, he devoted himself to films about architecture, fine arts and travel expeditions from Spitsbergen to Siberia. After 1989, he shot independent documentaries, then went into business and finally returned to photography. Today he lives in Jičín, devoting himself to landscapes and historic cars, which his sons restore. The exhibition presents a selection of his work.
