Christmas celebrations

Come and enjoy five days full of Advent atmosphere, shopping and an extraordinary cultural programme. From Wednesday 17 to Sunday 21 December, you can shop at 140 stalls in the centre of Jablonec nad Nisou and watch performances by dozens of music and singing groups. Forget the stress and hustle and bustle; in Jablonec, you can choose your Christmas gifts in a friendly environment, often directly from the manufacturers, and above all against the backdrop of an authentic festive programme.

Traditional stalls will be spread out in the very heart of the city: by the Christmas tree in front of the town hall on Mírové náměstí, in the pedestrian zone and inside the Eurocentrum. The biggest surprise of this year's programme will be the Sci-fi Light Show by the Pyroterra group, which will culminate the Saturday programme after 5 p.m. The Christmas atmosphere will be enhanced by a total of 50 ensembles with almost a thousand performers.

And if that's not enough, the traditional Mayor's Mulled Wine, with proceeds going to charity, and a variety of accompanying activities around the city will also contribute to the Advent atmosphere.

There are a total of 140 stalls at the Jablonec Advent markets. At the last minute before Christmas, you can buy authentic regional products, handmade goods, original jewellery and traditional Christmas goods. There will also be plenty of refreshments, mulled wine to warm you up, grilled sausages, sejkory (a type of sweet bread) and other delicacies that are an integral part of Advent.

Accompanying activities in the city

Christmas workshops at the Eco-Centre Friday, 19 December 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, 20 December 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Making Christmas decorations and other small gifts from natural materials, a laid Christmas Eve table, an exhibition of Advent figures. The workshops are intended for both children and adults.
