The new exhibition space Galerie Ahoj Nazdar Čau in the showcases at the bus station was created in cooperation with the statutory city of Jablonec n. N. The gallery in this specific space under the spacious shelter of the outdoor waiting room has not only six showcase windows originally intended for timetables, but also a four-meter space for murals . Bringing art into the public space is the long-term strategy of Galerie Ahoj Nazdar Čau, which has been operating in the display windows of the Warsaw cinema in Liberec since 2014. As an independent exhibition project, the gallery has been operating even longer and has held exhibitions in various locations with the aim of presenting contemporary young artists. Many people pass through the space of the bus station every day, and bringing the possibility of pausing over a work of art into the course of everyday life, making waiting pleasant and bringing reflection, was definitely missing in these spaces. In the past, Gumák was the nickname of the pub on the ground floor of the building behind the covered waiting room, and the gallery borrowed the popular name as a reminder of the local forgotten history.
