Description of the place
A popular beach on the western shore of the Jablonec reservoir, with gentle access to the water and facilities including toilets, refreshments and playgrounds. The site is dominated by a giant metal fishing rod. This sculpture, artistically titled ‘The Fishing Rod’, is the work of sculptor Vratislav K. Novák, who also created Prague’s Metronome in Letná. His ‘rod’ at the Jablonec Dam pays tribute to Karel Hubáček, a passionate angler and the architect of Ještěd.
