Description of the place

The new town hall in Jablonec nad Nisou (the seat of the municipality) was built in 1931-1933 and admirers of functionalism will be especially delighted with their visit.
It is an outstanding work of Czechoslovak interwar architecture, whose art-historical qualities clearly go beyond the region and rightly rank among the most valuable buildings of its kind in our territory.

The ground floor houses a branch of the tourist information centre. Opening hours see above.

During the summer holidays, the view from the gallery of the town hall tower is open. Special tours of the reconstructed meeting rooms are also organized.

In the basement of the building there is a fully functional Town Hall Cinema.
