Description of the place

The history of the Jablonec nad Nisou Municipal Theatre began in 1906, when the foundation stone of the building was laid. The theatre was opened to the public in September of the following year. The culmination of the festive evening was the merry play Hussar Fever. The interior of the theatre is also interesting.
In the building we can find 114 pieces of original Art Nouveau chandeliers and wall hangings.
Currently, the theatre offers six subscription groups focusing on drama, music, fairy tales for children, performances for students, opera and ballet. We also organize exhibitions, openings and special performances and programs for schools.
